In the past year, my role as the Director of Housekeeping at Atlantis the Palm has been marked by several significant achievements. One of the most notable was the complete revamp of all 1544 guest rooms. This project involved modernizing the room accessories, moving to a 100% sustainable amenity program saving 3 million tubes from being sent to the landfill, updating technology, and introducing high-end amenities such as Aqua Di Parma products and luxurious kids’ amenities. This transformation has elevated our guest experience to new heights, contributing to a 93% guest satisfaction rate.
Our commitment to excellence is further reflected in our quality audits, where we consistently score 92%, and in the Colleague Engagement Survey, where we achieved the highest ever score in the history of Atlantis Housekeeping department. Moreover, we achieved a Gold rating in the Earth Check Audit and a 4 Star classification in the Forbes Travel Guide Audit. I also had the honour of winning the Best Housekeeper in the Middle East award from an industry-leading magazine. Additionally, I led the team in an innovative cigarette collection program, recycling them into fabrics, and contracted soap recycling by UNISOAP as a sustainability initiative.
Currently, I am leading the team in revamping the entire 1544 room and corridor lighting and have taken the initiative to reduce credits to all guest room valets.
