GE spotlights cleaner and smarter energy solutions at Dubai Global Energy Forum
 

To drive the sustainable development initiatives of the region, GE put the spotlight on smart grid technologies and innovative solutions that help generate electricity from landfill gases at the Dubai Global Energy Forum, which was held from April 17 – 19 at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Forum aims to provide a platform for over 500 global and regional energy leaders and experts to exchange views on emerging regional and global issues related to energy policies, programs and technologies.

“The Dubai Global Energy Forum underscores Dubai’s commitment to promote sustainable energy initiatives,” said Joseph Anis, GE Energy’s President and CEO for the Middle East. “GE understands the energy needs of the region, and has been at the forefront of innovative technologies and solutions that maximize the use of available resources so
as to support the Middle East towards a sustainable energy future.”

The following speakers gave presentations on cleaner, smarter and more efficient energy technology solutions, addressing this year’s conference theme of “Energy Challenges and Opportunities – Sustainable Future”.
