How it works

Unlike traditional antimicrobial products, SHIELD utilizes Surface Modifying Antimicrobial Technology instead of toxic chemicals to inhibit the growth of microorganisms and prevent the growth and spread of bacteria.

Upon application, SHIELD bonds with, and imparts its microbiostatic properties onto, the treated surface, covering it with a newly formed, uniquely textured barrier that’s completely inhospitable to, and continuously inhibits the growth of microorganisms, for up to 3 months.

What sets PermaSafe apart from other cleaning technologies 

All currently available products in the market now are LEACHING (UNBOUNDED) antimicrobial, intended to act quickly and then dissipate just as quickly to minimize the danger to humans, animals and treated objects. Case study: Shar Private Hospital, Erbil, Iraq

As we know, the incidence of multidrug-resistant bacteria has increased, which is a serious global threat to society and healthcare settings, indicating increased length of hospital stay, mortality, and medical costs.

There is increasing evidence that the hospital environment is an important source of HAIs and multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs). So, environmental cleanliness is one of the important reasons for preventing the spread of infection among patients, staff, and visitors in hospitals.

“For this reason we were constantly looking for the best disinfectant for reducing the incidence of hospital acquired infection (HAI) in our hospital by removing and destroying  potential infectious microorganisms  for our hospital environment. 

Finally we found our solution in PermaSafe. We chose it because it is an advanced broad spectrum system for disinfection and provides antimicrobial protection for a long period. Initially, we could not believe that this disinfectant would be effective for 3 months but the results surprised us!

We continuously monitored its effectiveness by collecting weekly swabs from different areas of the hospital. Nearly 2 months have passed and we haven’t seen any microorganism growth from the swabs collected from the hospital.
