Suman started his career as a Housekeeping Assistant with The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in Kochi, India after completing his bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from IHM, Chennai, India in 2004. He then joined the Goa Marriott Resort as a Housekeeping Supervisor working his way up the ranks to acting Head of Department before moving to Singapore to join Pan Pacific Marina Bay in 2008.

In 2012 Suman moved to Dubai to join Grand Hyatt Dubai as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper. He joined Movenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach from 2016 to 2019 as Executive Housekeeper and then headed back to SE Asia to join Shangri-La hotels in Manila. Suman returned to Movenpick JBR in 2021 after surviving through the COVID-19 pandemic in Manila, but struggling with the government restrictions that greatly impacted his business and lifestyle.

With his extensive expertise, excellent communication skills and attention to detail, Suman has returned to Movenpick JBR and his favourite team to manage the full refurbishment of the hotel rooms and public areas as Executive Housekeeper.
