Ram Sharan Khatiwada
 

Ram Sharan Khatiwada has amassed over 17 years housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry, having risen through the ranks to become Rooms Operations Manager at Lapita, Dubai Parks & Resorts.

He embarked on his housekeeping career in 2004, starting out as a room attendant in Nepal before moving to Malaysia and gaining five years valuable work experience. 2012 saw Ram make his move to Dubai, setting out as Housekeeping Supervisor at The Ritz Carlton. Ram spent the following years being promoted within the housekeeping department of the city’s top hotels including Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa, W Dubai Al Habtoor City, Sheraton Grand Hotel and Conrad.

In 2019 Ram joined the team at Lapita Dubai Parks & Resorts as Director of Housekeeping, leading more than 100 associates who were responsible for 504 rooms. He was responsible for the room operation closing and re-opening during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading the commitment to the clean standards monthly audit and being recognised as Cleanliness Champion.

Ram was promoted to Rooms Operations Manager in January 2021 after proving to be a massive company asset. He is now responsible for leading 3 departments (front office, housekeeping, and spa & recreation) of 504 rooms, 4 outlets, and 3 pools. In this new role, Ram was again tasked with managing room operations and adhering to Covid protocol and the Marriott International cleanliness campaign. He has been proficient in handling guest experiences and feedback, leading the Guest Voice committee. Ram is also a prominent figure in the EMEA rooms advisory board and various other projects.
