Saudi Arabia Records 29% Growth in Tourist Accommodation Registrations

Saudi Arabia has recorded a 29% year-on-year increase in active commercial registrations for tourist accommodation facility management, reflecting continued expansion in the Kingdom's hospitality and tourism sector.

According to figures released by the Ministry of Commerce, the number of active registrations reached 20,560 by the end of the third quarter of 2026, compared with 15,965 during the corresponding period in 2025. This represents an increase of 4,595 registrations over the year.

Makkah emerged as the leading region, accounting for 8,075 active commercial registrations, followed by Riyadh with 7,110. Together, the two regions represented nearly 74% of the Kingdom's total registrations in the sector.

Madinah ranked third with 1,988 registrations, while the Eastern Province recorded 1,456. Asir completed the top five regions with 587 active registrations.

The figures highlight growing business activity in Saudi Arabia's tourist accommodation industry as the Kingdom continues to strengthen its tourism infrastructure and diversify its economy under Vision 2030.

The expansion also points to increasing opportunities for businesses supporting hospitality operations, including facility management, housekeeping, cleaning services and property maintenance.

As Saudi Arabia continues developing its tourism destinations and accommodation infrastructure, the demand for efficient facility operations, consistent service standards and professional hospitality support services is expected to remain an important consideration for the sector.
