
Women have certainly made a significant impact on the commercial cleaning industry. They are thriving in soft FM, housekeeping and many other functions of the industry.
Here is a POWER 30 list of women (in alphabetical order) who have broken the glass ceiling and continue to inspire others with similar dreams and aspirations.
1. Adrienne Doolan
Adrienne is the CEO and founder of Green Touches, a services provider of sustainable green cleaning, clean technology products and sustainability reporting in the Middle East.
Combining a genuine passion for the environment, promoting a sustainable way of living and working with integrity, her company Green Touches, founded in 2015, has brought an entirely new concept of ‘cleaning for Health & Wellness’ striving to be disruptors within this industry by ensuring a great workplace for employees, providing the best in clean technology and working towards achieving all 3 pillars of sustainability.
Actively pushing forward the Sustainable Development Goals agenda and having a voice to engage with businesses to involve many in the region to ensure much-needed changes for our planet, along with organizing discussions on climate change, waste management and sustainable solutions to create a better world.
2. Akshi Singh
Akshi Singh, CLUSTER Director of Housekeeping, for IHG Hotels Kuwait has over 29 years of experience under her belt. She worked for the Prestigious OBEROI chain for 9 years, moved on to Hyatt opening Park Hyatt Goa and then Grand Hyatt Mumbai, assisting in the opening of Park Hyatt Saigon and Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, Vietnam. She is now managing three properties as Cluster Director and has been with IHG for the last 14 years. She has been selected by the IHG as a RISE candidate ( Program which identifies women being for growth into General Manager roles )
Having carved a very special name for herself within the Middle East she is known as a thorough Professional, Inspirational and thinking leader. She has received various awards, namely the prestigious” Hotelier Middle East Award” and” Service Excellence awards”, MECHF Award amongst others.
Akshi is the Association Head of The KHH the Kuwait Housekeepers Hub and has a working number of active luncheons, competitions and events with the Housekeepers of the city.
3. Alaa Al Boali
Alaa is the Director of the Middle East Facilities Management Association, a nonprofit organization that aims to unify the Facility Management Industry. As a MEFMA Director, Alaa led the successful journey of the association by her visionary leadership and strategic orientation. Her dedication to serving the FM industry was noticeably demonstrated through committing to provide highly professional courses and running up multiple industry events across the Middle East. Her passion and experience in the associations' industry led MEFMA to be one of the most active ones in the region.
Alaa started her career with KPMG to be the first Saudi female to work in tax in Saudi Arabia. After four years of dealing with clients, she has found her passion in communications and clients relations. This led her to begin her career in the associations industry starting with MEFMA in 2012 as the Relationship Manager. In between, she managed memberships and marketing at the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association before she was appointed as the director of MEFMA in 2016.
4. Andrea Yoko
Andrea is an industry veteran with a vast experience of 40 years dedicated to working in the housekeeping /soft service industry covering both hospitality and facilities management.
Andrea arrived in the Middle East as Executive Housekeeper in 1987 at Dubai InterContinental Hotel and moved onto Abu Dhabi InterContinental Hotel for the GCC conference in 1992. An opening of the Jumeirah’s Jumeriah Beach Hotel in 1997 and the pre-opening work on the under-construction of Burj Al Arab created the return to Dubai. A directional career change and move into Facilities Management in 2007 saw the creation of the region’s first Centres of Excellence with Emrill.
She has been the head of soft services since June 2019 at Ejadah supporting its place as a market leader within the FM sector and attaining the industry’s longest-running coveted awards FMME’s Cleaning Company of the year for the second year in a row coupled with Overall FM Company of the year.
Andrea is a strong believer in training to promote the growth and development of housekeeping and soft services colleagues, improve their knowledge and career prospects and raise its profile to become a career of choice. The colossal effect that the pandemic has on the cleaning industry is monumental. The cleaner’s role has now been thrown into the limelight and highlighted the essential role they play. This recognition of a vital profession must continue and be supported.
5. Beena Vijayakumar
Beena started her career journey with The Taj Group of Hotels. Her career was developed and moulded in Taj where she had the opportunity to serve many heads of state and the visit of Her Excellency Queen Elizabeth to Cochin. During her tenure in Taj hotels, she had the opportunity to be part of the four pre-opening hotels.
She then moved to UAE In 2007 where she started her career in JAL Fujairah resort as the Executive housekeeper (Pre Opening). She got the opportunity to join Amwaj Rotana in the year 2009 as Director of housekeeping which was a pre-opening property.
In the year of 2014, she got the opportunity to join the Millennium hotel and convention centre Kuwait as the Director of housekeeping (pre-opening). In 2016, she was internally transferred to Bab al Qasr Abu Dhabi under the brand portfolio of BILTMOR hotels (pre-opening ). Beena also had a short experience in facilities in Dussman gulf UAE as the head of soft services for more than 50 projects including Battuta Mall which exposed her to different types of operations. She then returned to Bab Al Qasr Abu Dhabi in 2020 as Director of housekeeping.
6. Bhawani Bhargava
Bhawani’s journey in the industry has been a steady and rewarding one. The growth has been organic where she had joined Oberoi Udaivilas as a pre-opening housekeeping attendant. Then a housekeeping supervisor at Taj Exotica, Goa. After which she got an opportunity at India’s top publication house Times of India, as a Facilities Officer. Then Dubai called and she has been a part of Hyatt hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in various brands such as Park Hyatt, Hyatt Regency and Grand Hyatt. Briefly, I got the opportunity to learn the functions of soft services in the facilities department at Etihad Airways, Abu Dhabi.
At Hyatt, she grew further the ranks and helped open three Hyatt Hotels. Right now, she is placed at Park Hyatt Dubai spearheading the rooms division in the capacity of Director of Rooms.
Bhawani hopes her journey inspires younger generations who are looking at making a career in hospitality. Having said that, the hospitality industry is one of the most fast-paced work environments where you are required to function with precision and you never know what the next moment brings.
7. Carla Beaino
Carla is a Senior Housekeeping Specialist with both exciting background and exciting expertise, and she is currently a Director of Housekeeping with The Palms Beach Hotel & Spa, recognized as the "Kuwait's Leading Resort 2021" at the 2021 World Travel Awards.
With Kordie "E-Learning Hospitality Platform" she works as a contributor and mentor for Hotel Housekeeping Management Online Program. Her life journey seeks to create and foster a solid international network of professionals who provide well-being and quality of life around the world, and what better industry to do so than the hotel industry. That is why she has joined Kordie to share my knowledge and experience with students who want to improve their expertise in those fields.
Being Lebanese with a local, African and GCC background, Carla has always loved the experience of being in a hotel. While growing up, she was inspired to be part of that world and give others the same beautiful experience of hospitality.
In the past 15 years, she has been employed in a number of positions with many international chains, including IHG and Kempinski Hotels.
8. Charlotte AlMasri
Charlotte has represented leading facilities management companies in the UAE for over 12 years. Starting her early career at Transguard, she initially specialized in the management of Soft Service and IFM accounts across a diverse and high-profile customer base.
Her management and leadership responsibilities have continued to grow, and in Charlotte’s current position at Infracare she is responsible for leading customer relationships and growth, with a focus on driving excellence in operations and expansion into new sectors. Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships remain pivotal to her success.
9. Clara Rodriguez de las Heras Ballell
Clara Rodriguez de las Heras Ballell joined the industry eight years ago in Qatar. During these years, she has managed soft service contracts in a variety of sectors, including international airports, retail, F&B, commercial and residential properties. Since the pandemic started in 2020, she managed a significant number of government facilities to isolate and quarantine patients affected by COVID-19.
In February 2021, she took over from the largest healthcare contract in Qatar as the Project Manager and was promoted to Country Operations Manager for Acciona Facility Services in December of last year, managing over 4,000 employees across the country.
She is passionate about her people. With a very inclusive leadership approach, she firmly believes that the engagement of the team is essential for the overall success of the company. She has a person-centred vision about what teamwork and team management are: “the team as a unity and the team as each and every one of its members. These are the strengths of a company”.
Her previous management experience in the healthcare sector in the UK helped her in the transition to the facility management industry and inspires and guides her person-centred vision in any decision.
10. Deirdre Fitzsimons
Deirdre Fitzsimons is the Head of People & Culture (P&C), Strategic Business Partnering, at Al Ghurair Investment, one of the leading family businesses in the UAE. With a history spanning more than six decades, the group’s operations span more than 50 countries, employing approximately 28,000 people.
Deirdre has been with Al Ghurair for more than 6 years, initially joining as Head of Talent & Culture, before transferring to Head of People & Culture for the Construction business, until transitioning to her current role.
In her role today, Deirdre leads the P&C Business Partnering team across the organisation, executing the P&C strategy that is closely aligned with the organisation's strategic priorities and transformation agenda.
She possesses more than 16 years’ experience within the HR field, across Ireland, the UK and the UAE, across both international HR consultancies and local family conglomerates.
11. Dhanya Rathish
Dhanya’s determination for paving the way in the corporate world began in 2006 post her Masters in Business Administration with Club Mahindra Holidays as Venue Manager.
Dhanya started her journey with Intercare Limited in 2019, where she initially joined the washroom hygiene division and took multiple strategic initiatives such as penetrating markets to join major hospital chains as loyal customers and many more. Moreover, her regular tryst with business development has led me to a deep understanding of the GCC market and it’s only after proving her metal, she was asked to lead a division.
She currently manages the Chemicals Division of Intercare as a Commercial Manager. Her dynamic role involves developing private labels, new products, contract manufacturing, and opening & developing export markets for Intercare chemicals with a strong distribution network. So far, she has led the divisions to build a stronghold with a net 25% expansion of customer portfolio and a 100% customer retention rate.
12. Dorothee Stein
Dorothee Stein is the Head Service and Hospitality Performance Management at Dubai Airports and as part of her guest experience responsibilities, she is in charge of the FM Soft Services comprising of Cleaning Services, Waste Management, Pest Control, Landscaping, Indoor Plants and Passenger Trolley Services. Further to this, she performance manages the Guest Experience and Hospitality Contract for Dubai Airports.
She leads a team of 26 in-house employees in different roles and 1515 employees are engaged on output-based contracts, working across all Terminals and Facilities at Dubai International and Al Maktoum International Airport while continuously delivering 24-hour frontline services to airport stakeholders and 29.1 Million passengers in the year 2021 compared to 88.9 Million passengers in the year 2019.
Dorothee has lived in Dubai for 26 years. Prior to working in Dubai, Dorothee took on assignments in her native country of Germany, in the USA and Turkey.
13. Dr Naseem Mohammed Rafee
Dr Naseem is an experienced person with more than 16 years in Dubai Municipality. She started her journey in Dubai Municipality clinic as a safety officer, then held the position of "section manager of consumer products safety" in 2008, then in 2019 she became director of Health & Safety department". Her goal is to ensure the health & safety of Dubai community members.
She played a vital role in heading the emergency, crisis, disaster management team. During Covid-19, she was the main focal point of implementing the national disinfection program and supporting the Dubai Economy through the gradual reopening through smooth implementation of precautionary measures.
Finally, Dr Naseem takes pride in managing the EXPO 2020 Committee representing Dubai Municipality.
14. Gurnoor Bindra
Gurnoor Bindra is the General Manager for Sheraton Mall of the Emirates and one of the youngest millennial female hotel leaders for Marriott in the Middle East. Gurnoor has held various leadership positions with over 11 years of experience working in international brands including Starwood, which is now a part of Marriott and across many countries such as South Asia, including India, Bhutan and Bangladesh. She worked her way into a Cluster Operations Innovation role for 4 properties; Aloft Dubai Creek, Sheraton Mall of the Emirates, Westin and Le Meridian Bahrain. From there she earned the opportunity to become one of the youngest Hotel Managers in Marriott in the UAE.
Gurnoor successfully led the sassy team at Aloft Dubai Creek driving exceptional financial and operational results through her innovative and analytical skills. She has also introduced the workforce innovation model to create integrated job roles based on processes versus departmental silos.
She also is the key chair for serving 360 Pillar in Marriott Business Council for UAE, spearheading multiple initiatives across Marriott hotels around sustainability and charity for important causes.
15. Javeria Aijaz
Javeria Aijaz is Senior Director – Technology & Innovation at FARNEK Services, the Swiss UAE-based Facilities Management Company. She is also Managing Director of Farnek’s technology arm – HITEK Services, launched earlier this year.
Under the leadership of Javeria, Farnek has successfully navigated the digitalisation journey for FM Services, which includes people, facilities and assets. As a result of the work undertaken by Javeria, Farnek has received several awards, including the Winner of Technology Implementation of the Year 2017 at the Middle East FM awards; the company was a finalist the following year in 2018 and again in 2021.
Javeria leads a team of developers, engineers and specialists with a range of technical backgrounds and capabilities, supporting more than 3,000 mobile devices, over 5,000 data points, and multiple platforms to improve people, building and asset communication by increasing efficiency and productivity.
Leading on Smart Building and FM Solutions, Javeria is an experienced Technocrat and Passionate IoT Strategist. Javeria leads the way in innovation and technology-driven FM. This passion and commitment to developing business strategy resulted in her being recognised by the CXO50 awards, one of many tech-related accolades Javeria has amassed.
16. Jisha Anish
Jisha Anish has been working with Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel for the last eleven and a half years. She is a highly energetic and motivated housekeeping leader with proven success in managing a diverse range of housekeeping tasks and extensive management experience with many brands. Jisha has extensive functional knowledge of chemical and cleaning supplies to use in a safe environment. She is adept at monitoring and developing team member performance in terms of professional development and evaluations.
Jisha started her career with CGH Earth Properties as an Industrial Trainee and moved to Abad’s group pre-opening resort as an HK supervisor. This experience was a stepping stone to build my confidence to lead the team in other two pre-opening projects in Evolve back resort Kabini and Fariyas Resort Goa. She led the Team of Raviz Kadavu resort Calicut as executive Housekeeper for the classification of 5-star category. Teaching being her area of interest, Jisha was a Housekeeping faculty in Academy Of management studies Calicut. She worked with Aitken Spence Hotel - Poovar Island resort for two years before she reached the Middle East with Golden Tulip Hotels. Jisha currently works at the iconic Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel where she oversees the cleanliness and hygiene aspect of the 26 year Old Hotel with 120 guest rooms and various F&B venues and meeting rooms.
17. Leelavathi Nannuru
Leelavathi began her housekeeping career in the Middle East in 2005 as a Housekeeping Supervisor at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa after earning a diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology. Her extensive experience and dedication to her work have propelled her to the position of Complex Director of Housekeeping after serving in a variety of roles at Marriott properties. One of her most notable recent accomplishments was the successful opening of Aloft/Element Almina, Aloft/Element Airport, and the reopening of Le Meridien Fairway after a soft renovation, with the highest levels of Associate Engagement achieved in 2021.
Leelavathi is a firm believer that in order to provide the highest level of health and safety, procedures for various cleaning processes must be updated on a regular basis. With new information arriving on a daily basis during the pandemic, her team concentrated on updating hospitality cleanliness standards, norms, and behaviours to reduce risk and improve safety for both consumers and staff. As a result, ongoing training is critical, especially since there are still many challenges to overcome with all of the new variants emerging.
18. Lucy Jones
An accomplished facilities management business unit leader with over 18 years of experiences in transformational leadership, creating growth and improving service and performance across all aspects of the management domain. Considerable experience has been gained in leading facility management teams in managing a broad portfolio of property, including healthcare, education, residential, retail and integrated facilities. Adept in strategic management with considerable expertise in continuous improvement processes, enhancing operational efficiency and implementing business development strategies. A clear and confident communicator with the ability to cultivate good working relationships with top management, work colleagues, external stakeholders, suppliers, local authorities, and fellow organisations within multicultural working environments with core competencies such as facilities management, business process engineering, customer service & satisfaction and revenue growth.
19. Maria Vekakis
Maria has extensive experience in hotel and housekeeping operations from working in hotels around the world (Greece, Poland, Germany, France, UAE, Qatar, Egypt). She also has experience in opening hotels and participated as a task force member in projects that had been undertaken in various hotels.
During the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Maria was part of the team that hosted the International Olympic Committee. During that time she took care of high profile dignitaries and royalties.
She loves taking care of her guests and looking after them. Together with her team, she works every day to make sure that each and every guest feels special and enjoys a great stay. Throughout her working years, Maria has coached and mentored many of her employees assisting them to develop and grow their careers in the Industry.
Maria has been ranked among the 25 Power Housekeepers by Hoteliers Web, for South-East Asia, Middle East and Africa. After seven years at the iconic Cairo Marriott Hotel, Maria decided to move to her birth country in Melbourne Australia. Since January 2022 she is the Housekeeping Manager at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins Hotel.
20. Maryke Tredoux
Maryke holds over 25 years of experience in executive housekeeping, hospitality and facilities management. In her role, Maryke manages the Soft FM division at Nakheel Malls, encompassing Cleaning services, Pest Control, Indoor plants, Outdoor landscaping, Waste Management as well as Specialized cleaning services.
She is spearheading and supporting a team of over 800 outsourced members and oversees performance-output-based contracts across the various malls, pavilions, retail, and lifestyle destinations within the Nakheel Malls portfolio. Committed to achieving the highest cleaning standards, Maryke works closely with various Facilities management companies and suppliers to deliver a positive customer experience. She is passionate about Soft FM, enjoys leading on various projects at Nakheel, and always ensures that every Soft FM contract is tailored to the needs of each individual asset. Boasting a growth-oriented mindset, Maryke believes in raising the bar within the FM industry, by sourcing new products, methods, machinery, and technology in order to achieve optimal levels of performance and cleaning standards.
21. Minakshi Panday
Minakshi has had her experience in most parts of the world covering the UK (British chain of Hotels 800 rooms), Africa (New Africa hotel and Casino 500 rooms), Kuwait (700 rooms, a huge property of 6 thousand 6 hundred yards of property) and the Middle East (Dubai).
She is presently working as a group director housekeeping for Byblos, taking care of 7 properties and 1 to open soon.
Spending her time and working in various parts of the world has made Minakshi a better person, helped her in learning various kinds of different operations, learning various products and administration.
She enjoys using her travel experiences and various ways of operations, as and when required. She has also been awarded the youngest Executive Housekeepers Award and contributed to various housekeeping and other operational write-ups in magazines.
22. Pamini Hemaprabha
Pamini Hemaprabha is an international hospitality expert, a seasoned hotelier with 17 years of international luxury hospitality experience in senior leadership roles and a proud recipient of more than 10 international awards. Pamini has worked in more than 7 countries and her experience is one of a kind.
She was the highly commended housekeeper in the Middle East and Africa, during hotelier awards in 2010, Dubai Best Executive housekeeper of the Middle East and Africa, during hotelier awards in 2014, Best Executive Housekeeper in Asia 2017 @IHS Mumbai, Women performer in hospitality during IWDA @ Delhi 2019, Industry personality of the year award in the Middle East and Africa, during MECHF awards in @Dubai 2019. She is also an international certified auditor.
Pamini’s journey has not been a smooth one and her experiences prompted her to author books about women empowerment.
23. Rekha Harikumar
Over the past 15 years, Rekha has been a part of the beautiful transformation happening in the FM industry where now FM is getting reshaped by the integrations and advancements into Technology and IoT platforms.
Rekha started her professional career as a practising lawyer back in India, it was a 180-degree transformation when she by chance took up her professional career in the Middle East in the FM industry. Henceforth, she kept herself adept to the professional competency demands of FM by taking a master's in MBA focused on operation management, coupled with necessary certification in quality, HSE and other relevant domain areas. In addition, the diversified FM portfolios that have been handled varying from staff accommodation to residential villas, commercial high rise building with the most advanced systems to retail networks has given her hands-on experience of the diversified FM portfolio demands.
The road traversed so far enriches her with professional contentment and accomplishments by being integral part of the respective organisation's vision and core values. Currently holding the position of Senior Facility Manager in Global Village has given her an additional domain knowledge of the amusement industry and theme park FM operations.
24. Remya Venugopalan
Ms Remya, a Senior Healthcare Management Professional brings with her more than 13 years of rich experience in Health care Operations, Quality Management, Strategy and accreditation. She has been a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) since 2012 and has a keen eye for monitoring and performance data for decision making. She has good experience in strategy formulation & execution, excellent people management and conflict management skills which makes her a unique and valuable healthcare woman leader.
She has a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and does voluntary work as a business excellence assessor for Dubai Quality Award (DQA) and Dubai Human Development Award (DHDA) managed by Dubai Government. She and her team have been awarded twice for the best feedback report in DHDA and DQA assessment cycles. She was also awarded as the “Best Healthcare Executive” award by Health Magazine of GMC in 2017.
An active member of the American College of Healthcare Executive (ACHE), Remya is currently working as Director Quality and Facility planning at IMH. In this role, she is involved in the day to day operations of the organisation, strategy development & implementation, quality management, facility planning along with managing partner relations with DHA, DCAS, biomedical companies and outsourced service providers.
25. Sam Emery
As Emrill’s CFO and a part of the Executive Leadership Team driving the business strategy, Sam Emery is responsible for the overall financial management of Emrill, from ensuring robust internal controls to the continuous improvement of finance and accounting processes and procedures, to fulfil Emrill’s ethos of effective cash management and mitigation of financial risks to meet current and future business requirements. Sam has created a culture in which cash flow is not restricted to an individual department, but is instead a relationship-based model, tackled by teamwork across operational departments and the leadership team.
26. Silke Scheel Joypaul
Silke Scheel Joypaul is working as Senior Manager Cleaning Services of Facility Care at Dubai Airports and is responsible for managing the performance of outsourced services and performance-based cleaning contracts for the Emirates Terminal and Concourses at Dubai International Airport. Further, Al Maktoum International Airport forms part of her responsibility.
Silke has a team of 6 in-house employees that assist her to manage the output-based contracts, deliver business objectives and stakeholder requirements to provide an exceptional guest experience.
Silke holds a Diploma in Domestic Science from Germany and has travelled the world while working in the hospitality industry – from the United States, to Germany, Switzerland, Bahrain and to Dubai, where she has lived for the past 24 years. In over 30 years of her professional life, she has gained experience in Soft Services in various fields, such as Hospitality, Healthcare and Aviation.
27. Sushma Dahal
Sushma Dahal is an energetic and vibrant hotelier with more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry who started her career with Oberoi Hotels in India. Currently working with Crowne Plaza West Bay Doha a contemporary yet classic hotel with 317 rooms as an Executive Housekeeper.
Through her leadership as Executive Housekeeper at the Crowne Plaza Doha West Bay, the hotel excelled in the overall cleanliness scores, making it one of the top 13 IHG hotels in IMEA.
Aside from this, she also currently serves as the Hotel Experience Champion, creating and spearheading engaging activities not just for the guests but also for the team.
Her colleagues would describe her as the perfect mixture of a strong leader with a soft heart of a mother—firm and tender at the same time. She cares for her team like a mother does, and is constantly concerned about their well-being and development.
28.Tatjana Ahmed
Tatjana started her career in 1983 with a 3-year apprenticeship in hotel management in Germany. She started her housekeeping career in the Middle East in 1989 before joining Hyatt Hotel situated in Dubai in 2001. Her extensive experience and passion for her work have made her a functional specialist in Housekeeping for Hyatt Hotels, carrying out Management Operation Reviews of the Rooms Division Departments and assisting sister hotels in the pre-opening phase, ensuring that Hyatt standards are being implemented throughout the housekeeping department. Within the hotel, Tatjana contributes as a member of the diversity and inclusion committee, the hotel's sustainability committee and the Sahari Housing committee. Her engagement outside the hotel highlights that she heads the UAE professional housekeepers group as their chair lady and she is a member of the Asian Housekeepers Association. Tatjana is part of the organizing committee and judge of the Housekeepers League of Champions during The Hotel Show. These and other contributions have earned her to be Nr. 21 on the list of Top 25 Women in Hospitality ME in 2019 and Nr. 4 in 2020. She has also been awarded the Housekeeper of the year by the Hotelier Middle East Magazine in 2008, 2010 and again in 2019 and 2021.
29. Zakiyya Karimzada
Zakiyya is the Hygiene & Qatar Clean Manager from Grand Hyatt Hotels and Resorts.
After her graduation at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University in Health, Safety and Environment Engineering, Zakiyya moved to Qatar and started her career in Power International Holding – Turkish restaurants group as a food safety officer. She completed HACCP, food safety certificates from Highfields. Earlier in 2020, she joined the Dusit Hotels group. It was during this period that she completed her ISO certification 22000:2018. She gave her food safety SDG project in the UN75 meeting. She then started to work in Dusit during COVID-19.
Today she is working in Grand Hyatt Hotels and Resorts as Hygiene & Qatar Clean Manager and preparing her own website for food safety presentations and courses to create Food Safety Culture Crystal Food Safety & Hygiene presentations in the world with a purpose of raising awareness on humanity to keep & eat safe food.
30. Zinah Mohamed Al Saffar
Zinah moved to the UAE back in 2007. She started working for BMW as a team leader for customer service for the Middle East. When she took over the cleaning department in ServeU back in Mar 2009, she was as young as 30 years old and she is thankful to ServeU for giving her the opportunity to start as a cleaning service manager. The department had a total strength of 600 staff generating AED 25M at the time. Today, after 10 years of efforts and hard work, ServeU is one the biggest cleaning companies in the UAE with 3500+ cleaning staff and generating over 90M revenue a year.
