Your opinion about the soft FM landscape today.
The Soft FM landscape, like many industries, is undergoing an increasingly rapid transformation. Today, clients do not only focus their attention on Soft FM innovations or technology like cleaning robotic or IOT sensors; they do also expect Soft FM companies to think out of the box.
The challenges in soft FM
Workforce management will remain, in my opinion, one of the major challenges in the industry.
To address this, FMM has implemented the followings:
- Prioritize machines and technology that can make our staff's jobs more interesting and less physically exhausting.
- Organize regular events in our staff accommodation to take advantage of the cultural diversity of our company.
- Give our staff a voice so that they can regularly provide transparent feedback.
- Ensure the health of our staff by providing medical practitioners and free health checks or early cancer screening.
- The implementation of a digital performance management review.
Your advice to young soft FM professionals.
My best advice to young soft FM professionals is to get ready to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the industry. Balance your customers' expectations with their needs and don't forget to reflect and rethink your overall work process.
