My journey as Health & Safety director in Dubai Municipality supported the cleaning industry in the emirate of Dubai.

I have found that focusing on controlling & monitoring water quality and indoor air quality in the built-in environment were areas of interest which empower me in building strong relationships with strategic partners and employers in order to maintain a healthy and safe environment for Dubai community members.

I have been able to overcome any initial skepticism and establish myself as a trusted professional.

No, I did not face any gender-related challenges in my career.

As I have focused on being a knowledgeable and skilled person, taking on leadership roles in professional organizations through holding two doctorate certificates which have allowed me to further develop my expertise in my field.

Advice to young women who aspire to pursue a career in the cleaning industry

My advice to young women who aspire to pursue a career in the cleaning industry would be to take pride in their work, be open to learning and growth, and to seek out mentorship and networking opportunities. By building a strong foundation of skills and knowledge and connecting with other professionals in the industry, they will be able to establish themselves as respected and successful members in the industry.
