Your journey as a woman in the cleaning industry

I would say the journey was challenging as well as interesting. Whatever challenges I face, I just keep moving forward. I'm happy to see how far I came and it has given me a lifetime of insights, learnings, values, knowledge and tactics.

I let my work and contribution speak as an answer. I overcome the challenges by staying level-headed in the moment, maintaining a positive mindset and finding innovative solutions.

I try to strike the perfect work-life balance. It's probably not my strong point at this time in my life, however I tried to manage being a mother of a 19 months old daughter and working full time. Time management, organizing and planning was the key

It is important to keep a healthy work/life balance to prevent burnout. If you do not firmly plan for personal time, you will never have time to do other things outside of work. Find a healthy balance and set boundaries and work hours.

Don’t forget to take time out for yourself and recharge to be better at whatever you do.

Advice to young women who aspire to pursue a career in the cleaning industry

Women are capable of achieving extraordinary things. I personally believe women in the cleaning / food industry can do the same. Follow your passion and do your thing. If you follow your passion, learn as much as you can, and do good work, people will have no choice but to appreciate you! Don’t be afraid to ask dumb questions, just ask them because the most important thing is that you are learning, not that you start out knowing everything.

Have realistic goals and don't be afraid to chase them, be adaptable and open minded. The most important thing is ' Be ethical, your reputation is everything.

Believe in Yourself!
