Le Méridien Riyadh has appointed Constantinos S. Gavriel as general manager, bringing more than 30 years of hospitality experience across luxury and lifestyle hotels.
Gavriel joins the Riyadh property from Le Méridien Dhaka, where he served as general manager.
The appointment marks his return to Saudi Arabia. He first worked in the Kingdom in 2007 as cluster director of sales and marketing for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, based at Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh.
Gavriel has served as General Manager at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Riyadh since August 2026. Before returning to Riyadh, he spent nine years as General Manager in Dhaka, South Asia, from June 2017 to June 2026.
Earlier, Gavriel held senior positions with Renaissance Hotels. He served as General Manager in Aktau, Kazakhstan, from December 2014 to May 2017. He previously worked as Director of Operations in Moscow from October 2011 to December 2014.
His career also includes several commercial and leadership roles in the Gulf. Gavriel served as Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Sales & Marketing at Grand Millennium Al Wahda Hotel in Abu Dhabi from September 2010 to August 2011. He also held the position of Vice President, Travel Division at SAB Holding in Jeddah from September 2009 to August 2010.
In addition, Gavriel previously worked with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts as Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing in Riyadh. He held the role from April 2007 to August 2009.
Le Méridien Riyadh leadership role
As General Manager, Gavriel will lead Le Méridien Riyadh. The appointment announcement highlights his experience, leadership and connection to the Le Méridien brand.
His earlier experience with Le Méridien also spans the United Kingdom. From October 2003 to December 2005, Gavriel served as Executive Assistant Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing in London.
