The event was part of the municipality’s efforts to strengthen community engagement and share with students and their families the joy of returning to school. It also aimed to create a positive and motivating atmosphere at the start of a new academic year and reinforce the role of parks and public facilities as vibrant community spaces that combine recreation, interaction and quality of life.
The event featured a range of entertainment and interactive activities for children, along with dedicated photo areas themed around returning to school and appearances by popular children’s characters. Various activities brought joy to participants, reflecting the municipality’s attention to different segments of the community and its commitment to providing quality programmes linked to community occasions.
The event also gave children an opportunity to express their excitement about returning to school and take commemorative photographs in specially designed areas. This helped foster enthusiasm and positive psychological readiness for the beginning of a new academic year.
Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah City Municipality, said the organisation of the “A Warm Welcome Back” event reflected the municipality’s commitment to sharing in the community’s important occasions and milestones, particularly the return to school, which marks a new beginning filled with ambition, learning and achievement.
Al Shamsi explained that the event was part of a series of community programmes and activities organised by Al Hamriyah City Municipality throughout the year. These initiatives strengthen its community presence, reinforce its role in bringing happiness to residents and visitors, and support its efforts to provide a more vibrant, connected and high-quality community environment.
