From 14 to 17 April 2026, Interclean Amsterdam returns to RAI Amsterdam for its 30th edition, the largest edition to date. With 900 exhibitors from 45 countries and expecting over 30.000 attendees once again, the world’s leading trade event for professional cleaning and hygiene continues to strengthen its position as the global meeting point for innovation, knowledge exchange, and industry progress.
The show takes place in April, during the Dutch tulip season. But while the city may be in bloom outside, inside the halls the focus is firmly on the technologies, partnerships, and ideas shaping the future of cleaning.
Main Stage highlights: Knowledge sharing at scale
The Main Stage programme kicks off with a powerful keynote by Marc Lammers, followed by a strong line-up of sessions developed in cooperation with our partners; ISSA, Clean Hospitals, BICSc, ECJ, Cinet, African Cleaning Review, FDS, Italian National Association of Pest Control Companies, Afidamp, Zero Waste Foundation and WFBSC.
Across four days, visitors can expect strategic keynote sessions, forward-looking panel discussions, and practical case studies addressing topics such as:
· Infection prevention and healthcare resilience
· AI and robotics in daily operations
· Sustainable innovation and regulatory developments
· Workforce shortages and the future role of the cleaner
· Digitalisation, data integration, and performance measurement
· Professional Textile Care: Smarter Services
By bringing together leading voices from across the value chain, the Main Stage offers visitors both strategic direction and actionable insight, making it an essential stop for decision-makers seeking to stay ahead of industry change. View the full programme
A redesigned experience built around visitors
Interclean 2026 introduces a more intuitive and complete visitor journey. With the opening of Hall 8, the exhibition now follows a full-circle walking route, making it easier to navigate sectors, discover innovations, and move naturally between live demonstrations, experience areas, and networking spaces.
The 2026 show also expands its focus on specialist sectors, including Laundry & Textile Care and Pest Control, reflecting the industry’s increasing diversification and the demand for deeper expertise within niche markets.
But the real evolution lies in how visitors experience the show. View the floorplan
Four Experience Centres
At the heart of Interclean 2026 are four Experience Centres designed to move beyond product display and into practical evaluation. These are spaces where visitors can test, compare, and assess solutions under realistic conditions.
Healthcare Experience
Developed in collaboration with Clean Hospitals and BICSc, the Healthcare Experience recreates clinical wards and treatment rooms to demonstrate infection prevention protocols and realistic cleaning workflows. Visitors can observe contamination risks, explore hygiene interventions, and see how cleaning directly contributes to patient safety during hourly demonstrations.
Hall 12 remains dedicated to washroom and healthcare cleaning, bringing together specialist exhibitors and partners to showcase innovations in disinfection technologies, ergonomic support systems, eco-friendly consumables, and data-driven compliance monitoring. Healthcare hygiene continues to drive research and development across the sector, now increasingly aligned with operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Robot Experience
Automation and artificial intelligence take centre stage in the Robot Experience. This dedicated area allows visitors to see autonomous cleaning robots in action on test tracks with real obstacles, system integrations, and live data reporting, presented by leading manufacturers such as Sparkoz, Adlatus, LionsBot, Gausium, Shenzhen Yunjie Technology, Allybot, Cleanfix, and Ecovacs.
Here, the focus is not just on navigation, but on interoperability, safety, facility integration, and the actionable data that modern cleaning fleets generate. As labour shortages persist globally, robotics and smart systems are moving from innovation to necessity.
Hospitality Experience
Located in the newly expanded Hall 8, the Hospitality Experience, developed with BICSc, features life-sized hotel rooms and industrial kitchen setups, with half-hourly scheduled demonstrations in each setting. An AI demonstration explores optimal
cleaning routines in airplanes, trains, and other specialist environments, complemented by virtual training programmes available in multiple languages.
This area highlights how digitalisation, workforce development, and operational efficiency intersect in high-expectation environments where cleanliness defines brand reputation.
Outdoor Cleaning Experience
From window cleaning to large-scale outdoor technologies, this area delivers live demonstrations in real conditions. Visitors can evaluate equipment performance, safety innovations, and sustainability features firsthand through live demonstrations, including professional window-cleaning showcases by i-team, Nilfisk, and Waterocx. AI in action: The AI Tournament 2026
Artificial intelligence is not just displayed; it is actively developed on the show floor.
The AI Tournament, hosted in Hall 8 in cooperation FDS, brings eight Dutch student teams together to co-create future cleaning concepts across real-life environments such as hotel rooms, gyms, industrial kitchens, and hospital rooms.
On Wednesday 15 April, international AI students will work in teams to tackle real challenges from the cleaning industry. Thanks to structured preparation and guidance from industry experts, they arrive ready to build fast, creative prototypes. Visitors are invited to step into the arena, meet the teams, and witness firsthand how AI could shape the way we clean in 2030.
Elevating the role of the cleaner
With labour shortages affecting markets worldwide, Interclean places renewed emphasis on the people behind the profession.
Cleaners are increasingly involved in innovation development and procurement decisions, and this shift is reflected in the programme. The Cleaners Choice Award allows cleaning professionals themselves to select the best innovation from the Amsterdam Innovation Award nominees. In addition, the Dutch Cleaner of the Year Award will be hosted during the event, reinforcing recognition, dignity, and professional pride.
Ergonomics, usability, and co-created product design are key themes throughout the exhibition. Innovation is no longer developed solely for cleaners, but with them.
Amsterdam Innovation Award
A highlight of the show, the Amsterdam Innovation Award celebrates solutions that demonstrate measurable impact, market readiness, and adaptability across the industry. The four award categories reflect the sector’s transformation:
· Sustainability & Environment
· Smart Technologies & Digitalisation
· Workforce & Ergonomics
· Hygiene & Health
This year’s nominations include recycled material applications, power-free filtration systems, ergonomic tools, advanced decontamination technologies, and AI-powered robotics. For visitors, the award route provides a curated way to discover high-impact innovations efficiently. View the nominees and vote your favourite
A truly international meeting point
Despite global geopolitical and economic uncertainty, Interclean remains a stable and trusted international platform. The 2026 edition again welcomes exhibitors and visitors from across Europe, North America, Asia, South America, and Africa, with a notable increase in participation from emerging markets.
These markets are actively seeking innovations to elevate hygiene standards, improve efficiency, and strengthen professional training in their home countries. For manufacturers and distributors, this creates a uniquely concentrated opportunity to access new business territories within a single event.
The exhibition floor is structured by segment, bringing together global manufacturers, local and regional distributors, and buyers across the full value chain. Special initiatives, including a dedicated networking event for the African market, further support international distribution partnerships.
Business and connection combined
While innovation and knowledge are central, Interclean’s social dimension remains equally important.
The Social Club returns to the Main Stage as a relaxed setting for informal networking and industry exchange. Connect & Recharge areas across the halls create comfortable spaces for spontaneous business conversations. The traditional Friday afternoon drinks provide a celebratory close to four intensive days of meetings, demonstrations, and discovery.
Visitors consistently value this blend of professional focus and social engagement. It is often the unplanned conversation or chance encounter that sparks the next collaboration. View the exhibition segments; their specific trends and exhibitors
Why meeting in person still matters
In a digital world, Interclean 2026 reinforces the value of face-to-face interaction. Nowhere else can visitors:
· Test equipment and technologies hands-on
· Compare competing solutions side by side
· Speak directly with engineers, developers, and decision-makers
· Discover global innovations concentrated in one location
