An effective cleaning solution

According to Fouad Kansou, General Manager at Kuwait Chem-Dry, the sticky residues from shampoo will never really dry totally. Instead, they cling to every carpet fibre and will attract more dust and soil. This will make shampooed carpets recoil quickly. Steam and water extraction (steam cleaning) can cause carpets to rot or mildew because of excessive drying time. The extreme flooding of carpets is so common with these methods and this will absolutely affect the

jute backing of the fine carpet. Such flooding can also damage hardwood floors beneath the carpeting, making them warp. Whereas in Kuwait Chem-Dry process, as Kansou explains, “carpets dry in minutes and high concentration of carbon dioxide (Co2) cleaning process eliminates the need for massive amounts of water used in other processes. Chem-Dry ensures that there is not threat of shrinkage, mildew, rot or floor damage.”

How it works

Kuwait Chem-Dry method involves Co2 to produce millions of sparkly effervescent carbonated bubbles which quickly penetrate each carpet fibre dissolving dirt, grease and pet stains in just seconds, claims the company. Acting as tiny propellants these bubbles actually lift dirt to the surface for extraction. Once soil grease and stain are removed, the solution evaporates. Since Co2 is an effective dirt releasing agent, rather than soaps or than harsh chemicals, there wouldn’t be sticky residues left in carpets to attract dirt. Laboratory tests show that carpets cleaned the Chem-Dry way actually stay clean as long as factory fresh carpets do. It usually takes less than two hours to clean carpets in an average size house.

The number of children suffering from asthma and other allergies is increasing rapidly owing to lack of proper cleaning of household articles. It’s estimated that 40 per cent of children below 14 years are suffering from asthma. The main reason is dust mite, which lives mainly in carpets. It’s estimated that over two million dust mites feed on the protein from dead skin scales in an average house.

Hot carbonating cleaning process and application of Chem-Dry’s Dust Mite Anti Allergen is the ideal solution to this problem as it instantly neutralises and renders harmless the allergen from dustites.
