“Urine Off is being sold in over 35 countries worldwide and we are extremely excited to launch these products for the first time in the Middle East. It eliminates organic residues and their proteins to create a hygienic environment with no lingering odours. The first step to hygiene is proper cleaning,” states Mr. Advait Kotecha, General Manager, Aseem Trading.

Why Urine Off?
In order to understand this range better, it is important to understand why urine odours are so difficult to remove and why they pose a significant health hazard. Urine contains uric acid salt crystals that are extremely insoluble and remain tightly bonded to the surface they are deposited on. The uric acid crystals trap the proteins that are being excreted, which in turn provide a food source for a number of dangerous pathogens.
“In fact when Bill Hadley, the founder of Bio-Pro Research conducted a trial with a major international airline, astounding results showed that urine traces were found not just in the flight washroom, but also the carpet outside and even the back corners of the aisle seats near the toilets which people used for balance after leaving the restroom,” quips in the GM once again.
Urine Off’s unique bio-enzymatic formula destroys all components of urine and other body fluids such as blood and vomit, including their proteins to create a clean, hygienic environment. It is not a mask or cover-up, but rather eliminates the source of the oldest and toughest stains from practically any surface. The product can even be verified under Bio-Pro Research’s specialized LED Urine Finders that highlight how Urine Off truly removes these organic residues.
The Urine Off range is easy-to-use because of its Green formula. Urine Off contains only natural ingredients and plant-based surfactants and meets the EU standard for biodegradability. Urine Off can be applied safely on a number of different soft and hard surfaces without causing damage or discolouration.
“Urine Off’s non-caustic formula not only makes it safe for people to use but also helps facilities extend the life of their assets. Expensive urinal pipes and delicate rugs no longer need to be replaced because of the use of harsh chemicals,” says Mr. Kotecha.
It’s not just about urine stains
To emphasize the fact that the products are not just about removing urine stains, another range has been developed labeled as ‘EcoKleen’. It utilizes the same bio-enzymatic formula to comprehensively eradicate other organic stains such as vomit, blood, sweat, red wine and coffee among others.
Typical cleaning agents focus on killing germs, not in removing soils on surfaces where microorganisms can grow and flourish. Mr. Kotecha gives another insight stating, “The Centre for Disease Control (CDC), USA states that maximum effectiveness from disinfection results from first cleaning and removing organic materials. The core concept behind Urine Off and EcoKleen is to eliminate these organic residues, which go beyond the scope of the naked eye.”
The road ahead
Bio-Pro Research has developed over 25 different products catering to a variety of markets including Healthcare, Hospitality, Commercial Institutions, Laundry Facilities, Pet-Vet and Flooring. Aseem Trading’s plan is to penetrate the various verticals in each country by serving as channel partners with existing distributors.
