In a statement, MECTW organiser, VIS Exhibitions, said that the partnership will see Emaar holding an educational seminar on best practices and technologies that are employed in the maintenance of its properties.
The seminar will be held as part of the International Cleaning and Hygiene Conference (ICHC) at MECTW.
Abdulla Al Wahedi, senior director for facilities management at Emaar Properties, said, “In 2016, we launched our own FM strategy for the next five years, which is a huge achievement for us. The strategy was born from our commitment to sustaining and extending leadership in facility management through excellent service. It is a pleasure to be a part of an event like MECTW that focusses on sharing innovation within the sector. As a ‘Knowledge Sharing Partner’, our objective is to shed light on practices that have helped us to set new benchmarks in maintaining mega-properties.”
According to VIS Exhibitions, the goal of the partnership with Emaar is to evaluate current trends, while educating companies working within the sector on the latest market requirements to help them adapt. In line with this, the developer will also touch on the impact of the Internet of Things on the FM field.
Jayaraman Nair, Chairman of VIS Exhibitions, commented, “We are pleased to partner with Emaar Properties in supporting the growth of advanced cleaning practices here in the region. With increasing focus on sustainability, there is a growing requirement for innovative products and solutions, backed by the latest technologies to help this sector be more profitable. Through MECTW, we aim to bring together players from various sectors under one roof, and connect global enterprises to the regional market.”
VIS Exhibitions noted that since the inception of MECTW in 2015, it has brought together three expos – Clean Middle East Pulire, Gulf Laundrex-Linen Care, and Gulf Car Wash-Car Care – under a single umbrella.
MECTW will run from 7-9 November, 2017, at Dubai World Trade Centre.
