Arpal Gulf LLC is set to adopt new Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) requirements as set out by the European Union (EU) in a bid to highlight its product safety standards across the United Arab Emirates. The company’s UK-based parent company, RP Adam Ltd, has already adopted the current EU CLP labelling standards, which have been welcomed as a huge improvement on how information is presented on product handling and environmental impact.
Arpal Gulf, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year of operating in the UAE, is now believed to be the only cleaning chemicals provider across the UAE to have adopted such stringent labelling requirements, a fact welcomed by Managing Director, John Gavigan, “We have invested a lot of time, resources and money in CLP labelling across all our operations, although adopting the standards are not currently a requirement for the UAE or across the Middle East,” he explains.
“As well as ensuring our products are consistent across the world, the CLP labelling will also raise the bar of product information making the end user more aware of its handling sensitivities and its impact on the wider environment. It shows the level of commitment, attention to detail and high standards for which Arpal Gulf is well known across the Middle East,” informed Gavigan.
