Consumer’s Response is based on this simple question, “Which cleaning/washroom hygiene product do you find most useful?” In this issue, Carlos Lages, Head of Soft Services, UAE & Oman, Emcor Facilities Services, talks about the NSS Wrangler 2016 AB scrubber. We highlight the usefulness of this product through a Q&A, presented below.
How challenging is floorcare? Among the various aids available, which do you find most useful?
With the right people, skills and an experienced management, I find it easy, in fact very easy to manage the hygiene standards and work towards floor care. Out of all the chemicals, brooms, mopping systems and other such cleaning equipment, I find a good quality scrubber the most useful of the lot.
So, which scrubber do you use and why?
I have used almost all major brands available in the market. However, having seen the NSS scrubbers in action during one of the Olympic Games, I have been using NSS scrubbers a lot, especially the Wrangler 2016 AB. I was impressed with not only the quality, but the robustness of these scrubbers. When I was invited to set up two soft services’ divisions in the UAE, I found NSS was represented by Cleantech Gulf and the working relationship was similar to what I had known in the UK. They are not only very open-minded, but also take on a good challenge.
What kind of areas is the Wrangler 2016 AB ideal for?
Wrangler 2016 AB is a medium-sized piece and can clean both big and small areas. We apply these machines in all sorts of areas and premises, front and back of properties.
How does this scrubber score in terms of maneuverability and cleaning?
It is great in terms of maneuverability across various kinds of areas. It is easy to operate and scores well on cleaning.
What is the down-time of this machine?
I design a very comprehensive maintenance regime for organizations I work for. Together, by forging a partnership with the equipment provider, I do not believe that this type of equipment would be ‘Out of Service’ if properly maintained. If well taken care of, there will be no machine downtime and long maintenance jobs to waste a cleaner’s valuable time.
How would you rate this machine on a scale of one to ten?
I wouldn’t say 10 because there is no brand in the world which has impressed me yet to give it a rating of 10. Nonetheless, I would gladly say it is a big 8.5 for this one.
